Event Registration Terms and Conditions
Delegate Substitution
- Delegates can be substituted at any time without any additional cost. Please notify us of the new delegate’s name(s) for registration purposes.
- You may transfer your registration to another event at no extra charge, provided the request is made in writing at least 10 working days before the event. Transfers requested within 10 working days of the event will incur a 10% administration fee.
Event Modifications and Cancellations
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances, Talk Thesis reserves the right to modify the programme content, speakers, venue, or date. You will be notified at least 5 working days prior to the event.
- If the event is postponed, you may choose to attend on the new date or receive a credit for the registration fee, which can be used for a future event or refunded if the event is canceled.
- If Talk Thesis cancels an event, delegate payments will be credited towards a future Talk Thesis event, available for up to one year from the date of cancellation.
- If Talk Thesis postpones an event, delegate payments will be credited towards the rescheduled event. If the delegate cannot attend the rescheduled event, they will receive a full credit for the amounts paid up to the date of postponement, redeemable against a future Talk Thesis event within one year. No cash refunds are available for cancellations or postponements.
Payment Terms
- Full payment is due within Five (5) Days upon completion and submission of the registration form.
- Due to limited space, we recommend early registration and payment to secure your place.
- Admission to the conference will be denied if payment has not been received.
- Purchase orders will be accepted as proof of payment.
Delegate Cancellations
- Cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Customer Services Manager at info@talkthesis.co.za.
- Cancellations received at least 10 working days before the event start date will receive a full credit for the amount paid, which can be used towards a future Talk Thesis event within one year from the date of cancellation.
- Cancellations received less than 10 working days before the event start date will not be entitled to any refund or credit, and the full fee is payable.
- Nonattendance without written cancellation to the Customer Services Manager is treated as a cancellation with no entitlement to any refund or credit.

Warranty of Authority
The signatory warrants that they have the authority to sign this application and agrees to be personally liable for payments due to Talk Thesis should this warranty be breached.
Liability
- Talk Thesis is not responsible for any personal belongings lost or damaged at the event.
- Talk Thesis will not be liable for any personal injury sustained at the event, except in cases of proven negligence.
Privacy Policy
- By registering for the event, you consent to Talk Thesis using your personal information for event administration purposes and to inform you of future events and services.
- Your personal information will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.
Intellectual Property
- All intellectual property rights in the event materials are owned by Talk Thesis or its licensors. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any event materials without prior written consent from Talk Thesis.
Code of Conduct
- Delegates are expected to behave professionally and respectfully at all times during the event.
- Talk Thesis reserves the right to remove any delegate who does not adhere to this code of conduct without refund or credit.
Governing Law
- These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Talk Thesis operates. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
